The Jigsaw Man :: Paul Britton

This book gives a fantastic insite into Offender Profiling and some of the things that are taken into consideration when creating a profile of an offender. Also Paul Britton allows us to glimpse at some of the cases that he\'s had in his consultation room over the years. A fantastic book for anyone interesting in Offender Profiling - however; it\'s not required reading for any of the course, and in some places can give quite graphic details about murders and rapes so reader-beware!All-in-all a great read and a bit of a page turner, but nothing here that really relates too much to the profiling of today... more in brief history of Profiling in the UK from Paul Brittons own perspective.

Angles on Criminal Psychology :: Dina Dwyer

This is a great book to dip in-and-out of throughout the course - there are excellent examples and case studies for giving more detailed information on specific studies. I would not suggest this as a course text though as it covers a little too much. All-in-all: if you\'re a teacher have a copy to hand when writing lesson plans or in class; if you\'re a student, use the library copy!

How to become a Clinical Psychologist :: Alice Knight

Fantastic book to have which outlines everything that you need to know about becoming a Clinical Psychologist from the experience that you need (and can start getting while you\'re an undergrad) to the application procedure and interviews.Every psychology teacher should have a copy on their shelf for students to browse through as it really puts things into place and gives a true account of the hoops that you have to jump through to get onto a Clinical Doctorate course.Well worth a read and every college library should have one.

Psychology and Everyday Life :: Karon Oliver and Louise Ellerby-Jones

Top book for students of OCR AS psychology. The book covers all of the 20 Core Studies backed up with relevant psychology. My only gripe is the presentation which lacks consistency and is a bit cluttered.
