K-strategy
This term relates to Adaptive reproductive Behaviour and can be seen as a continuum. At one extreme is R-strategy whereby the individual guarantees its genetic line by having many offspring. At the other extreme is K-strategy whereby the individual guarantees its genetic line by have few offspring but devoting a lot of energy ensuring the survival of these offspring.
