Just-World Hypothesis
This refers to the tendency for people to believe that the world is just and predictable and therefore people get what they deserve.
The Just-World Hypothesis is a type of Attribution error and can be seen as a form of defensive Attribution as it makes people feel safer.
This is also known as the just-world phenomenon and the just-world effect.
